Your Moro Cloud environment consists of the following key components. These components are already created by your Moro Cloud Administrator.

  • Organization

  • Virtual Datacenters (vDC)

  • Networks

  • Edge Gateways

  • vApps

  • Catalogs

Organization

Your Moro Cloud Organization is the logical container for your company’s Moro Cloud environment. In this example “Tenant1” is the Organization

Virtual Datacenter

Your Virtual Datacenter (vDC) is a collection of compute capacity (CPU, RAM storage) and network resource which is available to your Organization.

Your vDC can be managed from the Virtual Datacenter tile. In the below example “Tenant-VDC” is the Virtual Datacenter. This is the default/Home Page view when you login to your Moro Cloud Portal.

Networks

A Virtual Datacenter network allows vApps/Virtual Machines within a Virtual Datacenter to communicate with each other as well as providing connectivity from the Moro Cloud environment to an external network such as the Internet or an IP VPN network.

To access Networks, click on “Virtual Datacenter tile” Networks

Edge Gateways

Edge Gateway is a virtual router for your networks, it also provides services such as firewall, and load balancing.

You can view the Edge Gateways you have in your Moro cloud environment by clicking on “Virtual Datacenter Tile” in home page “Edges”

vApps

Your vApps are the virtual machines and associated configuration that you create in your vCloud environment. A vApp is a virtual system that contains one or more individual virtual machines. As this is a self-service platform, you will be creating your vApps.

Your vApps can be managed from the Compute section under Virtual Datacenter.

Catalogs

Catalogs are used for storing vApp templates and ISO media files. User can use its vApp templates and media files to create their own vApps. User can also create their own Catalogs to host vApp templates and Media file which are specific to his own Virtual Datacenter.

To access catalogs, from the main menu select Libraries, Catalogs from the left panel.
