Moro Cloud uses concept of Catalogs for storing contents like Virtual Machine templates, ISO images and other media.

Note: Using Public Catalogs, Moro Cloud shares vanilla (unhardened) OS images to all customers whereas Individual Customers can create Private Catalog for there internal templates, ISO images and media.

Let’s jump into Creating a Catalog:

  • To view available catalogs:

From the main menu, select Content Hub, Catalogs from the left panel.

  • Click New

  • In the Create Catalog dialog box, Name the Catalog and enable Pre-provision on specific storage policy Select your Org VDC and Select the Storage Policy "AZ1-ENT01-CATALOG01"

Note: To upload Templates, Media, and ISO files, it's recommended to use the Catalog Storage Policy: AZ1-ENT01-CATALOG01

Once Catalog is created, We can add our templates or images in a Catalog which can be used to deploy future VM's.

There are two ways to populate the Catalog.

  1. By uploading an OVF package

  2. By creating a template from an existing vApp

  3. By uploading a Media ISO file

  1. Click Next

  2. Review the details of the OVF template and then click Next

  3. Enter a Name and Description for the template and Click Next to continue

Review the details of the vApp template and when you are done, click Finish to deploy. Depending on template size and network speed, the upload may take some time.
